For the first time, an Italian winery has taken first place in the World's Most Admired Wine Brands ranking, which celebrates the finest examples of wine tourism worldwide, unveiled during an evening event held in Mendoza, Argentina.
It's the Tuscan winery Antinori nel Chianti Classico, belonging to Marchesi Antinori, which had already triumphed a few months ago in a competition dedicated to the world's best wineries!
An impressive double achieved within just a few months by one of the most important Italian wine businesses in the world. Antinori, which had already been named the most beautiful and functional winery internationally back in October 2022, a few days ago won the Oscar for the world's best brands. A jury made up of leading industry professionals awarded the Tuscan winery, founded at the end of the 1300s, this prestigious prize conferred by the magazine “Drinks International“.
Buyers, sommeliers, merchants, restaurateurs, Masters of Wine and critics assessed not only the quality and value of the wines produced, but also the value for money and the strength of the brand and its marketing. In the end, Antinori, one of the most renowned and influential wineries in Italy, located in the Chianti region, secured this important global recognition.

Finally, the magazine “Drinks International” also named six other excellent Italian wine producers: Tuscany's Tenuta San Guido (sixth), Piedmont's Gaja (seventh), another Tuscan name, Tignanello (twenty-first), Sicily's Planeta (twenty-fifth); and two more Tuscan estates, Ornellaia and Frescobaldi, in thirty-third and thirty-fourth place respectively.
