Cookies & Privacy Policy

This notice describes how David Romano (the “Controller”) processes the personal data of the people who visit www.unagitafuoriporta.it (the “Site”), under articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended.

What data we process and why

• Browsing data. The web server receives the IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These data are used only to serve the pages and to keep the service secure; they are kept in server logs for a limited time. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running and protecting the Site.
• Visit statistics. The Site keeps anonymous, aggregate visit counts (pages, day, device type, referring site) without cookies and without storing the IP address: it is impossible to identify a visitor. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Contacts. If you write to us by email we process the data you send us only to reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to requests.
• Saved articles and preferences. The “save for later” list and the cookie choice are stored only in your browser (local storage) and never sent to us.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses only technical cookies and local storage, which need no consent: your cookie choice, your saved articles and the session cookie of the editorial panel (reserved to the staff). No profiling or advertising cookies are used.

Third-party services

• YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd): videos are embedded in “privacy-enhanced” mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and the player is loaded only when you click the preview. From that moment YouTube may set its own cookies according to Google’s privacy policy.
• OpenStreetMap maps (OpenStreetMap Foundation): loaded only when you open a map; the map tiles are requested from OpenStreetMap servers, which receive your IP address.
• Open-Meteo: the weather forecast for a place is requested by your browser from open-meteo.com using the coordinates of the place, not yours.
• Google Fonts (Google LLC): fonts are loaded from Google servers, which receive your IP address.
• Hosting: the Site is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany), in the European Union.

Retention

Server logs: up to 12 months. Anonymous statistics: indefinitely, since they contain no personal data. Email correspondence: for the time needed to handle the request.

Your rights

Under articles 15–22 GDPR you may at any time request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing or withdraw consent, by writing to redazione@unagitafuoriporta.it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

Minors

The Site is not aimed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

This notice may be updated; the date at the top shows the latest version.
