With Christmas just days away, the pull of winter holidays becomes irresistible. It's the perfect time to discover experiential destinations that bring together culture, taste, wellbeing and age-old traditions.
In this special episode, the magical Advent season in Veneto takes centre stage, with an itinerary exploring some of the gems of the province of Vicenza. From the mountain charm of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni (Asiago Plateau), with the enchanting Asiago, we move on to Romano d’Ezzelino and Tezze sul Brenta, before reaching our final stop: the captivating Bassano del Grappa.

On Tuesday 17 December, at around 10pm, a not-to-be-missed new episode of “Una gita fuoriporta” premieres. The original TV series dedicated to discovering extraordinary places, telling the story of an Italy rich in great tales and culinary excellence. We'll begin our journey amid nature in the heart of Rigoni di Asiago, a company that has been producing top-quality organic products for over 100 years. We'll then move on to the enveloping scents of Corso 4 Novembre, with the craftsmanship of Pasticceria Presti 1961, where the festive season is transformed into genuine works of art.
Our compass will guide us across the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, down to the foot of Monte Grappa, to discover an oasis of hospitality and relaxation at the brand-new Ca' Apollonio Heritage. Following the course of the River Brenta, within a few minutes we'll reach the iconic Ponte di Bassano del Grappa (Bassano del Grappa Bridge), which has guarded great memories for centuries, such as the one we'll uncover at Italy's very first distillery, Nardini; we'll let ourselves be won over by Palazzo delle Misture, where Christmas becomes a cocktail of emotion and art. And there'll certainly be a stop at one of the most award-winning cheese dairies around, San Rocco.

Editor's note, from David Romano, at the end of production:
"This corner of Italy reminds us just how precious our bond with our roots is, and how much value the stories we tell in this episode add to our present. I'm convinced I've come to know the most authentic Veneto, great excellences that don't just showcase "local" produce, but carry it out into the world as true ambassadors of Made in Italy, promoting the uniqueness of a land that's all still to be discovered".
