Premiering on Sky, Tuesday 23 May, a new unmissable episode of “Una gita fuoriporta“, the original TV series dedicated to exploring the towns and villages of our Bel Paese. A journey through history, art and beauty, to discover the traditions, curiosities and excellences of each place.
In the episode set in Monte Grimano Terme, David Romano – the programme's host and journalist – sets off to discover the most authentic aspects of this town in the Marche region, on the borders with the Republic of San Marino and Romagna: from the dominant symbol of the historic centre, the fifteenth-century Torre Civica (Civic Tower), to the Palazzo Comunale (Town Hall), which today presents itself as a hybrid building with features of both a noble residence and a country villa.
Through a maze of streets, squares and alleyways, we delve deeper into the history of this ancient castle, listed among the Borghi Più Belli d'Italia (Italy's Most Beautiful Villages), with its many postcard-perfect views, monuments and illustrious figures from the past, in a journey that aims to highlight the bond between history and nature in this area.
Nestled among the gentle hills overlooking the Valle del Conca (Conca Valley), it enjoys an ideal geographical position, set within the Montefeltro area, where the Marche and Emilia-Romagna regions meet! There'll also be a “Una gita in Bike” segment exploring outdoor cycling and trekking routes, along with a focus on beekeeping.
