An unusual Sunday brought life to the historic centre of Viterbo, the city of the Popes, with a meeting that combined tourism, culture and promotion of the local area. Mayor Chiara Frontini and the Councillor for the Film Commission Viterbo Città del Cinema, Patrizia Notaristefano, welcomed the author and presenter of the TV series Una Gita Fuoriporta, David Romano. For David Romano, it was a welcome return: he had already visited Viterbo over the Christmas period, captivated by the unique atmosphere and historic heritage of the medieval centre. «Viterbo,» said Romano, «has enormous narrative potential: it's a city with so much to tell through its history, its places and its traditions».

The visit also provided an opportunity to launch new editorial and television projects dedicated to the area, with particular focus on cultural events and thermal heritage, distinctive features of the local tourist offering.
The production team behind Una Gita Fuoriporta filmed two episodes in Canada last September. The meeting in Viterbo thus confirms the editorial team's interest in showcasing Italian experiences and destinations.
