There's a dessert produced in Japan by the company Cellato, which is certainly not for every budget or every palate. It's an ice cream that costs 6,000 euros a portion and its ingredients include cheese, Parmesan, white truffle and gold leaf!

The ice cream has entered the Guinness World Records for its cost as an artisan product made with top-quality ingredients.

Its name is “Notte Bianca” and it's a savoury ice cream. It's made with a velvety milk base to which two types of cheese, egg yolks, sake-infused leek, Parmesan, white truffle, truffle oil and a gold leaf are added. The ginjo aroma is very pleasant and enhances the flavour of the white truffle even further.

It comes in a black box and includes a handmade metal spoon crafted from sacred materials, as it comes from temples and shrines. The white truffles, meanwhile, come from Italy, specifically from Alba, in Piedmont.

For the best tasting experience, the instructions suggest letting the ice cream soften for a few minutes before serving and adding the truffle oil included in the luxurious packaging to bring out the flavour even more. It should then be enjoyed with a good glass of aged white wine!
