There's a forward-looking Italy that breathes and takes care of itself. It's the Italy of thermal spas, of spas immersed in nature, of regenerating journeys that every year attract millions of travellers in search of balance and harmony. But behind this increasingly sought-after experience lies a concrete need: training professionals capable of innovating and leading change. It is precisely from this vision that the first School of Advanced Training for Innovation and Excellence in Wellness and Spa Tourism was born, an ambitious project signed w.academy, presented in Rome and destined to become a national point of reference.
A new hub for tourism that makes you feel good
This is not simply a training course, but a genuine strategic hub that connects universities, institutions and businesses. Among the standout partners are leading academic institutions such as Sapienza Università di Roma and Università degli Studi di Roma Foro Italico, Università Telematica “Leonardo da Vinci” – Unidav together with Federterme and Confindustria Alberghi. A project also supported by the Ministry of Tourism, which aims to strengthen one of the most dynamic sectors of Italy's offering: wellness. A project also supported by the Ministry of Tourism, which aims to strengthen one of the most dynamic sectors of Italy's offering: wellness. In recent years, indeed, wellness tourism has transformed. It is no longer just about relaxation, but a complete travel itinerary that weaves together health, sustainability, food and local heritage. Italy's thermal destinations represent a unique asset that now requires new managerial skills to remain competitive on the international stage.

Concrete training, between classroom and territory
The teaching programme is structured into nine advanced training courses, with a limited number of participants to ensure quality and a hands-on approach. Among them, the university Master's in Wellness & Spa Hospitality Management stands out, designed for those wishing to specialise in the management of wellness facilities. Classes will be delivered in blended format: online, but also in person, directly at the symbolic sites of Italian thermal tourism. A way of learning in the field, experiencing it first-hand.

An investment in the future of Italian tourism
The project arrives at a particularly favourable moment for the tourism sector, as confirmed by recent data from the hospitality industry. But growth alone is not enough: skills and the practical, operational capacity for innovation are also needed. The School fits precisely into this scenario, with the aim of bridging the gap between training and the world of work, creating professionals ready to respond to the new needs of contemporary travellers. Because today, more than ever, tourism is not just about setting off. It's about feeling good. And knowing how to build this experience is the real challenge of the future.
